Crossing the Street

When looking in the mirror we see our own reflection and take into account of what we look like, but when we leave the house we have forgotten that image, until we look in the mirror again.
People who have been at a disadvantage physically and mentally for any period of time, know better than others what they look like, it has been ingrained into their very being.
So every so often someone will come along that we would like to be, we see a place that we would like to live in or a car that we would like to drive. To really get a good look at what that entails we must cross the street, we must see it as everyone else sees it, before we can know for sure what it is we want.
